A little bit rock ‘n roll . . .

That’s what I’m feeling like today!
My guy is headed up to San Francisco to play a gig in Union Square tomorrow.
Sadly I’m not going, but hope some of you in the Bay can make it out and rock out w/ him for me.
I’m staying close to home this weekend.
And have zero plans except for watching movies, relaxing and reading.
And maybe a little mani-pedi thrown in, just ’cause. ;)

I had an emotionally wild ride last weekend at my grandma’s funeral.
It was an immensely powerful, yet sad time for my family.
And yet somehow, despite the sadness, I feel stronger.
Funny how pain is, huh?
Just when you think it will engulf you and take over every fiber of your being, you wake up and realize you’re stronger now than you’ve ever been in your whole life.

Needless to say, I have lots to be grateful for this week.
As do you.
I hope you can spend some time this weekend checking in with yourself and acknowledging all that’s right in your world.
I know I will be.

Thanks for spending a few minutes here – and I hope this list kicks off your weekend in a big way!

THIS WEEK’s MISCELLANY

When I decide to get married, I’m taking my cue from Ms. Knightley. Love!
I might just have to get tickets to this. It’s an LA food-lovers dream night.
Lend your words {and your eyes} :: be a part of Yoko’s next project.
Another reason to love J-Law.
30 Reasons to love Robert Downey Jr. This is too funny!!
This made me giggle. Thank you Funny or Die!
Wild Medicine in NYC. I must go see this!
This post pushed all of my food-loving buttons. I smell a heated debate coming.
In honor of Gatsby {which was amazing and a must-see this weekend}.
This might be handy at the…airport…? I’m so confused. And oddly impressed.
This made my day. Get ready to laugh.
Scatter my ashes at Bergdorf’s. Can’t wait to see this!
Love this video by West Elm. These ladies know flowers – and their new book looks fab! They’re even doing workshops around the country tomorrow. Fun!
Rubber ducky got super sized!
Death Valley never looked so beautiful.
Can I get a A-men?
File this in the “whoever invented this is a damn genius” category.
Life lessons learned from kids movies. Word.
I have to brag on my dear friend and fellow AFI alum, Doug Chamberlain who shot this great video for Imagine Dragons. This guy is so talented! Love seeing my friends soar.
